Jon Archie Tucker passed away at the age of eighty-nine on April 22nd, 2024. He was a husband, a father of three, grandfather of six, great-grandfather of three, brother to twelve siblings, and a great friend to many. Born in Laveen, AZ to Archie Odus Tucker and Ethel Sarah Ann Stogsdill as the third youngest of a very large family, Jon Archie was a diligent and caring man who loved nothing more than his work and his family.

Jon was a proud graduate of the old Litchfield High School (class of ’52) where he was Senior Class President and served as a representative to Boys State. He enjoyed working on his farm in the west valley, woodworking in his barn, or rooting for his life-long team: the Arizona State Sun Devils (season ticket holder for over fifty years). Often seen with a cigar in his mouth, on the golf course, or at your local Pete’s Fish and Chips.

Jon is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years: Elizabeth Ann Tucker, his son Archie Odus Tucker (wife Connie), his daughter Cynthia Lynne Jarnagin (husband David), his sister Essie Mae, and his brother Wayne. He is also survived by his many grandchildren: Jon, Nicholas, Corrine, Jacob, Nathan, and Matthew; his great-grandchildren: Jack, Connor, and Liam; an abundance of nieces and nephews; and his dog (Einstein Tucker “woof woof”) all of whom loved him and will miss him dearly. Jon Archie Tucker now joins his deceased daughter Michelle, and his large family in heaven.
